1. The battery should be installed in a special compartment or box or cabinet. Batteries must not be installed in living rooms.
2. The prime mover starting battery should be installed as close as possible to the prime mover. If this battery cannot be installed in the battery room, the place where it is installed should be properly ventilated.
3. The battery installation should be easy to detect, clean and replace. There should be enough space between the upper and lower accumulators to facilitate the placement of accumulators. There should be a gap of not less than 20mm around each battery. The general installation height of the battery, that is, the distance from the battery plug to the deck is not more than 1.4m (except for the maintenance-free battery). Otherwise, pedals should be provided for easy operation.
4. The gap between the batteries should be fixed by wedges and gaskets of insulating materials that are not moisture-absorbing and resistant to electrolyte corrosion. The bottom of the battery box or cabinet should be filled with a tray made of green lead or other corrosion-resistant materials with a thickness of not less than 2mm. The height of the gasket and the pallet shall not be less than 45mm. For open-mounted storage batteries, a baffle should be provided on the upper part.
5. The battery room, box and cabinet should be equipped with independent ventilation devices, with the air outlet at the top and the air inlet at the bottom. The inlet and outlet vents are generally arranged at both ends of the diagonal of the box and cabinet, and the structure should be equipped with baffles or covers to prevent water and sparks from entering. The battery pack with charging power greater than 2kw shall be equipped with mechanical ventilation, and the pipes of the air outlets of the boxes and cabinets shall directly lead out of the open deck.
6. The door of the battery room or the outside of the special box or cabinet should have a sign of "No Pyrotechnics".
7. Acid and alkaline storage batteries are not allowed to be placed in the same storage battery compartment, box or cabinet.
8. Special cables and special bolts should be used for battery wiring. After tightening, all terminals should be sealed with petroleum jelly or other grease to prevent corrosion.
9. The battery charging equipment should be able to charge the battery pack from the fully discharged state to the rated capacity in no more than 10h, and should be equipped with short-circuit protection, etc.
